Calendula officinalis

An annual plant that produces attractive bright orange (or yellow) flowers, either as single or double daisies. When in flower they can reach 50 to 60 cm in height. Plant in free draining moist soil in full sun with several plants together to provide a colourful display. The flower petals can be used in salads, egg and cheese dishes and also to provide the colouring in other cooked dishes. 1,500 to 2,300 m.
