Lavandula angustfolia

Lavenders are well known plants and much loved for the aroma of their foliage. This species is commonly called English lavender. They will grow to 70 cm tall and need lots of full sun preferably in well drained rich soil. Water weekly in times of hard drought. Be careful when pruning as cut too low will kill the plant. Suitable for altitudes from 1,500 to 2,500 m. Lavenders are used for essential oils, perfumes but has limited use in the kitchen
